A TTA Award is an outstanding symbol of excellence, and the annual event is a fantastic networking opportunity for all involved in tiles and tiling.
Our category was Best Commercial Project – Small (up to 250m2)
We thoroughly enjoyed working with the artist Morag Myerscough to realise her tiling vision for her art installation, Atoll.
Morag’s use of strong bright colours is typically difficult to achieve through ceramic tile printing.
However, the team at Digital Ceramics Custom Tiles worked closely with Morag to develop the perfect col
our palette so her vision could be achieved without compromising the quality of the end results.
This intricate detail meant that the team at Digital Ceramics Custom Tiles worked incredibly closely with Morag and the installation team and project managed the installation of the tile to make sure everything fit into place perfectly.
The Atoll, installation is a 7.5m high two-storey structure which is also a café in the centre of the new internal public space of the refurbished No.1 Finsbury Avenue, in London. The entire bottom storey, the columns and the upper-level use bespoke waterjet cut tiles from Digital Ceramics Custom Tiles.
The awards took place on 10 September at The Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel.
