Major Ukraine tile manufacturer reports major increase in production

In 2024, the Epicentr Ceramic Corporation increased production by 25.7%, rising from third to second place among Ukraine’s leading ceramic tile manufacturers.

In 2019, Ukraine’s popular home improvement chain, Epicentr K, invested 3 billion UAH in the construction of a tile manufacturing plant in Kalynivka, which converts to over £54 million. The new Epicentr Ceramic Corporation plant became fully operational in 2021. The Russian invasion in 2022, however, had a severe impact on the company’s growth plans.

From 2023 to 2024, the ceramic tile market in Ukraine decreased by 4.3%, to 28.1 million square metres. While this caused a 19.5% reduction in imports, national tile producers managed to increase production levels by 4.7% and exports by a staggering 72.7%. Ukrainian ceramic tile manufacturing is therefore showing significant growth, in spite of the shrinking home market.

In view of these trends, Epicentr’s director Volodymyr Syrov has an eye on expanding the company’s exports into potentially lucrative markets such as Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Turkey, the United States, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Epicentr was the only Ukrainian tile manufacturing company with its own stall at the prestigious Cevisama 2025 exhibition in Valencia. The company’s expansion plans had been severely affected by the war, but Syrov is now keen to get things back on track and focus on increasing the company’s export market.
