In 2016, renowned artist Richard Woods designed a unique commercial leisure centre for an installation at Albion Barn in Oxford. This ‘wooden’ commercial leisure centre is made up of large format porcelain tiles, each custom printed with a wood grain effect in a block print style. We worked with Richard to achieve the striking colours in his recognisable artwork transferred onto the tiles. The colours are UV safe so won’t fade outside in the sunlight, remaining as vibrant as they were on the day they were installed. The tiles have then been over-glazed with a commercially rated anti-slip coating. Richard’s distinctive style and use of bold colours looks very dramatic in the English garden setting at Albion Barn in Oxford, the finished pool is stunning!
