We’re shortlisted in two TTA 2022 Awards categories!
We’ve been shortlisted in not just one, but two categories for The Tile Association Awards 2022! Since it began in 2000, The Tile Association has been an independent association for the entire UK tiling industry, with over 1,000 business members and we’re so pleased to have been considered as finalists.
The first shortlisting is ‘Best Commercial Project, Small (up to 250m2)’. We thoroughly enjoyed completing this project with B&B owner, Susanna Posnett. She opened her doors this spring after her vision for her new commercial property came together. She wanted to bring stunning, statement, timeless interiors to life throughout her beautiful guesthouse.
Susanna enlisted our help to replicate Delft and Iznik tiles for two WCs in the Tiresford B&B in Tarporley. We used a screen-printing method to achieve the depth of colour and continuous design she needed.
The second shortlisting is in the ‘Best Domestic Project’ category. We were commissioned to help Dublin couple, Rachel Pentony and Andy O’Dea completely transform their cellar space into an open-plan living area, complete with a bathroom. The family loved the original Victorian tiles at their property and wanted to replicate them in the renovation. A priority for Rachel was to give a nod to the surrounding Victorian architecture whilst creating an awe-inspiring place to unwind.
Rachel, Andy, and the Digital Ceramics Custom Tiles team worked collaboratively to get the colours spot-on. The couple said: “From start to finish it was a pleasure to deal with Mark and the team.”
The awards are taking place on 24 June at The Hilton Birmingham Metropole and the whole team at DCCT are looking forward to discovering the results!
