Our history
Our shareholder Michael Zimmer invented the Ceramic Toner Technology that has been developed over two decades which enables us to be a world-leader in ceramic printing.
In 2011, Digital Ceramics Systems was asked by a leading tile manufacturer to produce a large scale art project for the London 2012 Olympic Stadium. The project had over 16,000 individual 30cm porcelain tiles, each produced with a different image to create a large scale mural. After the success of this project, we set up Digital Ceramics Custom Tiles to offer a custom printing service to artists, interior designers and architects.
At the beginning of 2021, after a successful 18 months of growth, we rebranded to Digital Ceramics Custom Tiles which better represented our global enterprise. We developed our services to make them more accessible and in-keeping with the needs of the leading international brands we work with.
